Dogwood Southern Table & Bar Reopens in Uptown Charlotte |
Beloved Southern eatery returns with a fresh location and menu at The Westin Charlotte |
Charlotte's culinary scene welcomes back a cherished favorite as Dogwood Southern Table & Bar reopens its doors in Uptown.
After closing its SouthPark location in 2023, the restaurant has found a new home within The Westin Charlotte, offering both locals and visitors a taste of contemporary Carolina cuisine.
The reopening is part of a significant $25 million renovation at The Westin, aiming to enhance the hotel's amenities and dining options.
Under the guidance of Rare Roots Hospitality, led by Kim and Jon Dressler, Dogwood continues its tradition of Southern hospitality.
The menu, crafted by executive chef Scott Hollingsworth, features a blend of classic favorites and new creations.
Diners can look forward to signature dishes like Duck and Dumplings and Baked Pimento Cheese with tomato jam.
New additions include Crispy Carolina Catfish and Pork Shank with roasted vegetables, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to local ingredients.
The beverage program, curated by bar director Brittany "BK" Kellum, offers craft cocktails and a selection of wines emphasizing sustainable and organic wineries.
The dining space accommodates 116 guests, with an additional lounge area for 48, and features a 36-seat wraparound bar.
Reservations are available via OpenTable for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m.
