Charlotte's beloved dairy-free ice cream brand announces two new locations set to open in 2026 |
Seemingly Overzealous, Charlotte's cherished dairy-, egg-, and gluten-free ice cream shop, is set to delight more taste buds with the opening of two new locations in Davidson and Matthews in 2026.
The Davidson shop, located at 207 Griffith St. in the revitalized Sadler Square shopping center, is slated to open in late April or early May. The Matthews location will follow in late summer. These additions will join the existing stores in Camp North End, Plaza Midwood, and Dilworth.
Founded during the pandemic by Garrett Tichy and Jessica Berrese, Seemingly Overzealous began as a hobby and quickly grew due to its unique, allergen-friendly offerings. The brand's commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone can enjoy their treats without dietary concerns.
Both new locations will feature vibrant, playful interiors with glitter floors, indoor and outdoor seating, and an expanded flavor menu. The menu will increase from 12 to 16–24 rotating ice cream flavors, including customer favorites like "CAN'T ALL BE COOKiE" and "SCOOP OF SELF DOUBT," as well as innovative options like "i'M FREAKiN' OUT."
Operating hours for the new shops will be:

Friday: 1 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
